It's good to be home.

I asked Sarah what I was like to live with.

Sarah: I feel like whatever I say is going straight into the blog.
Me: Pretty much.
Sarah: Uh... good. It's been good. We're building our life together.

Then I tried to take a picture of us, sitting on the couch, holding the camera out at arm's length, snapping, then bringing the camera back in to look at the picture, seeing Sarah made a weird face, trying again, another weird face, hearing her say, "This time I'll do it for real," another weird face, repeat, repeat.

Sarah: You know, I had an idea of how you should end your blog, but I'm not going to tell you until after it's over.
Me: Okay.

Honestly, I don't really have any idea of how I should end this blog. Maybe it shouldn't end. Maybe that's the point. We keep on living together, here, and eventually somewhere else, being goofy, sometimes annoying each other, building our life together, and maybe... someday... actually hanging that mirror up on a wall.

So, the living together continues, just without the pictures.

But here are a couple extras to enjoy on your way out the door. Maybe we'll have you over again sometime.

I like the wedding planning idea. Maybe you and Sarah can do it together! I loved her blog while she was in Boston.

On a completely weird note...Why are the dates all messed up? Or is that just me?

I do hate when your blogs finish, Arnie. But thanks for another one.

Hi Arnie,

Please do another blog if you're up for it. You don't know me, but we had mutual friends in Tucson and sometimes did karaoke at the Best Western, although I don't think we ever really interacted. I stumbled across the break-up blog back in 2005 or 2006 and got sucked in. I was struck by how personal your writing was, and also by the many connections it seemed to have to my life (I'm from Ohio and went to OU--I think you may have, too?; I have MS; I had a long distance relationship while I was in grad school (Chicago to Tucson), etc.

No matter what you decide regarding another blog, I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing your life for the last few years and good luck to you and Sarah with everything in the future.

I know what it's like to feel pressure to blog so I won't beg for you to continue. I'll just tell you that I've really enjoyed watching the two of you evolve into what you are now and you both make me smile. And it was great that I actually got to see you perform when I was in Chicago.

So thank you, good luck and I hope that one day you'll pop up again.
